Dancing Water Kakara Pinot Gris 2009
The Kakara Pinot Gris is a single vineyard wine grown on clay-limestone soils on the hillside East of Blacks Avenue in the Waipara Valley. The fruit was hand harvested, pressed straight to barrel followed by natural vineyard yeast fermentation and a further 10 months ageing on original lees.
Dancing Water Kamaka Riesling Waipara 2009
Grown on the Glasnevin Gravels of the Waipara Valley, this is an elegant style riesling showing good minerality and length. The nose shows delicate peach stone fruit aromas with a hint of wet river stones, the palate is mineral with delicate peach and apricot fruit and elegantly balanced acidity giving a lengthy finish.

Dancing Water Oneuku Riesling Waipara 2009
The Oneuku riesling is grown on clay-limestone soils on a northern hillside slope of Omihi in the Waipara Valley. This is a powerful, concentrated dry style riesling made from gently pressed whole bunches and fermented with natural vineyard yeasts in old french barriques and aged in barrel for 10 months on fine lees.
Dancing Water Tier Garden Chardonnay Waipara 2009
Grown organically at our Tier Garden vineyard in Waipara, one of the first original plantings in the Waipara Valley, this wine is showing great concentration and mineral complexity. Very limited quantities are available year to year from this low cropping 1Ha vineyard.

Our home block Pinot Noir is one of the three oldest original vineyards planted in Pinot Noir in the Waipara Valley and is now almost thirty years old. The 2009 vintage produced a very elegant style of Pinot with dark cherry, subtle chocolate and plum fruit mingled with attractive florals and silky ripe tannins.

Our Scheurebe vineyard lies in a small and sheltered, tree lined valley next to the Omihi Stream. Grown organically and handmade using minimal intervention in the winery, this wine shows concentrated fruit on the nose and palate of rich stone fruits and blossoms intertwined with delicate fragrant spices. An intriguing and individual wine.

Dancing Water Tokorima Pinot Noir Waipara 2010
A barrel selection from fruit grown on Blacks Avenue in the waipara Valley, hand picked, destemmed and fermented with natural yeasts, with 40% new oak. This wine is deep and brooding and full bodied. Dark berry fruit, earth, lavender and a dark savouriness intertwine, carried by substantial supple tannins leading to a long lasting finish.

Floating Mountain Chardonnay Waipara 2009
Made from grapes grown on clay-loam over limestone soils, this wine is made in an un-oaked Chablis style. Aged on lees for eight months, this wine shows steely gun-flint on the nose with apricot and white peach that intensifies on opening. The palate shows stone fruit, white peach and mineral with a dash of wet river stones.
Floating Mountain Pinot Noir Waipara 2010
Soft dark berry fruits, forest floor and violet aromas introduce this wine. The palate is complex with concentrated black fruits, savoury and earthy notes. Complimenting the dense fruit, the weight is medium full bodied with supple tannins and a lively acidity.
Floating Mountain Vin Gris Waipara 2009
A complex style Vin Gris with interwoven peach and dark summer berry fruits and violets on the nose. The palate is full bodied and multilayered, ripe berry and stone fruits laced with subtle florals and spices. An underlying minerality draws out the finish which is smooth and long.
